Beaver Stadium Rules

Beaver Stadium has various rules and regulations in place. These rules must be followed by all those entering the stadium. Keep in mind that the rules are in place to ensure the safety of the guests, players, and staff.

Make sure you are fully aware of the regulations before you attend to make things as quick and efficient for you when you arrive.

Alcohol policy

Alcohol is sold within Beaver Stadium. However, the following rules apply when purchasing alcohol:

  • » A positive ID must be shown before the sale of alcohol
  • » Alcohol sales can be cut off at any time if decided by management
  • » Alcohol is not allowed to be brought into the venue
  • » Guests are not permitted to leave the venue with alcohol
  • » Sales of alcohol will cease at the end of the third quarter
  • » The venue reserves the right to refuse to sell alcohol to any guest
  • » Those who do not have proof that they are 21 years of age or older will not be allowed alcohol
  • » Those who possess alcohol and do not have proof that they are 21 years of age or older will be ejected from the venue. They might also be subject to arrest.
  • » Two alcoholic beverages are permitted to be sold per person at one time. This is the maximum amount.

Bag policy

Only clear vinyl, clear plastic, or clear PVC bags are allowed in the venue. These bags must not be larger than twelve inches by six inches by twelve inches.

Small clutch bags are also allowed, and they don’t need to be clear. However, they cannot have a strap or handle, and they must not be larger than five inches by eight inches by one inch.

Those who have childcare, dietary, or medical needs are permitted to bring one additional bag into the venue. Arrangements for this must be made in advance. They can be made by contacting the Emergency Management team or the Penn State Athletics Game Operations team.

Once arrangements have been made, guests with these bags will enter through a particular gate at the stadium. This will be either the ADA Gate – on the stadium’s west side – or at gate B, through the Beaver Stadium Police Station.

Cashless policy

Beaver Stadium at Penn State is a completely cashless venue. The merchandise stands, concessions, ticket office, and parking garages are all cashless. Guests can also pay via mobile pay, such as with Google Pay or Apple Pay.

Code of conduct

The Beaver Stadium code of conduct relates to the expected personal conduct from all fans. Everyone needs to be on their best behavior to make the experience as enjoyable as possible for everyone!

Here are some of the main points of the fan code of conduct that have to be followed during your time at the venue.

  • » Follow all protocols and regulations at the venue and campus
  • » Abide by the bag policies, venue policies, and the prohibited items list
  • » Sit in your assigned seats
  • » When requested, be ready to present your ticket
  • » Comply with instructions from stadium personnel, such as ushers, security, and any other authorized personnel

First aid

There are first aid stations within the EMS building at Beaver Stadium, where emergency medical services are also available. The EMS building is located between the public E and F gates.

If there is an issue within the stands, make sure to contact the nearest emergency medical personnel or usher. Ushers will be wearing orange vests, while emergency and medical personnel wear green and orange, fluorescent vests. Medical personnel also have PSU EMS marked on their vests.

If there is a medical issue in the parking lot, the nearest parking attendant or police officer should be contacted, and you should call 911.

Guest services

The Guest Services booths can be visited to help with any issues. There are booths for Guest Services located at each gate.

You can find fan location wristbands at any of the Guest Services booths. These wristbands can be incredibly useful, as seat locations can be written on them. This can be invaluable when it comes to reuniting lost children with their parents.

Guests can also contact the Customer Relations Center on game day by phone. This service can be reached four hours before the kick-off time and is available through to halftime. You can contact the Customer Relations Center by calling 1-800-NITTANY (1-800-648-8269).

Lost and found

The lost and found service is offered at the Guest Services booths. It can also be found at the Beaver Stadium Police Station, located at gate B.

If you find any lost items while you are at the stadium, be sure to turn them over to an usher. Alternatively, you can also take them to a Guest Services booth.

Any items that haven’t been claimed when the game is over will be available at the Eisenhower Parking Deck or the University Police Station from the following Monday after. You can also call (814) 865-1864 to query about lost items.

Any items left inside the stadium or at the entry gates unattended will not be able to be recovered, as they will be discarded.

Accessibility

There are a range of accessibility options available at the stadium, making it easy for those with certain needs to get around the venue with ease. Let’s take a closer look at the accessibility.

Accessible entrances

Gate A has two elevators, both of which offer access to the South upper deck, Mt. Nittany Club, and the mid-level concourse. However, it is encouraged that fans enter through Gate B and make their way through the venue to get to the Gate A elevators.

Gate B features an accessible ramp – which goes to the South end zone on all levels – and an escalator that travels to the mid-level concourse.

Moving escalators are only able to be used before a game. They cannot be used post-game. The only accessible options after a game are elevators and stadium ramps.

There is easy access to wheelchair seats at Gate C. Gates D and E do offer stadium access, but aren’t as convenient for those in wheelchairs or with limited mobility.

Accessible parking

The following Beaver Stadium parking lots are ADA-accessible:

  • » IM Building
  • » Katz Building
  • » Nittany Lion Softball Park
  • » Shields Building
  • » Wagner Building

A shuttle service for those with accessibility needs is available before and after every game from these parking lots. The shuttles drop off and pick up guests close to the Gate B ADA entrance or the Porter Road ADA entrance, close to Gate A.

Accessible restrooms

All restrooms on the club level, concourse level, and in the South upper deck area are ADA accessible. There are also ADA restrooms under the East, North, and West stands and in the South end zone.

Accessible seating

There are specific seats inside the venue designed for those needing easy access seats, as well as those who use wheelchairs.

Tickets are sold in these areas based on availability. Non-accessible seat tickets can also be traded for accessible seats. Give the stadium a call at 1-800-648-8269 to make arrangements before a game.

Mobility devices

Various mobility devices are allowed inside the venue. This includes – but isn’t limited to – the following:

  • » Canes
  • » Crutches
  • » Rollators
  • » Walkers
  • » Wheelchairs

Although the main accessible entrance is on the west side of the stadium, guests can bring mobility devices through any entrance.

Service animals

Service animals are allowed inside the venue, but they must be leashed or harnessed at all times.
